In 1999, Julius Jones was convicted and sentenced to death at just 19 years old. He has now spent half his life on death row despite new and compelling evidence of his innocence. Julius’ execution is scheduled for Nov. 18 — just six days away.Julius Jones as a child. (Image: Courtesy of Justice for Julius)

Recently, Julius’ case came before the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board. After carefully considering the evidence of Julius’ innocence and the disproportionate 15-year sentence his co-defendant and the crime’s likely perpetrator received, the board voted twice, on Sept. 13 and Nov. 1, to recommend that Julius’ death sentence be commuted.
The final decision is in the hands of Governor Kevin Stitt who has just days to act to prevent the execution of an innocent man.
Will you take a moment right now to email the governor and urge him to stop the execution?
